Decorating Trends for March 2011

Decorating Trends for March 2011
The trend is natural, like living in a forest. Florals are back but with a twist. The new florals include botanicals, birds and butterflies. Especially nice because they're made with earth-friendly materials. Good for the environment and good for you.

Here are some of my favorite Pottery Barn picks for March 2011.

This bedroom is a refuge from the pressures of every day life.
Home and nature blend into one.

The inner fibers of the naturally strong abaca plant are tightly twisted and handwoven by Filipino craftspeople to create a beautiful diamond pattern.
Perfect with this pretty bedding.

Organic cotton, beautiful and comfortable.

If you love this green, you can paint your walls Benjamin Moore Hillside Green.
A Pottery Barn pick for 2011.

Some other colors you're going to see a lot of are dark indigo blue, like midnight.
Greens, like a fresh salad. Misty blues, like the ocean, and harvest golds.

The Photographer's desk lamp is a fun way to get good task lighting.

The Atrium lamp will hold whatever you want to put inside. Plants, rocks, shells, beads. The possibilities are endless.

And my personal favorite, the mirrored dresser or bed-stand.
The perfect way to reflect a beautiful bedroom.
